Hello Staggs Family! And, hello to anyone else remotely connected to us who may have an interest. As we've grown and spread and done this and that, it has become more and more difficult just to keep up with what's going on. So, as matriarch of this group, I've decided to try this rather techy way of keeping up with with everyone who wants to be kept up with.
To start with some news, today is Becky's "match day". There is a party at Flores Country Store for all the med students. Should be fun for those who matched. Can't imagine it will be fun for those who didn't match. It kind of has that "American Idol" feel to it - you know, when they make those poor performers stand there while all but one is eliminated. We are going and taking Bri since it is spring break for her.
Oh, yeah, Becky witnessed the house behind hers being robbed while she was home for lunch today. She called the cops and to her surprise they showed up almost immediately. Turns out the same guys had robbed someone else earlier that day. She told them she had seen two Hispanic guys in a white Ford Excursion. They asked her to ride with them to see if she could identify the vehicle. She did. Her first ride in a police car. They told her to sit in the back so "they" wouldn't be able to see her. When they arrived, the cops - four police cars and eight cops - had a white Chevy Suburban surrounded with a terrified family standing around. Becky, in her usual subtle way, informed the cops that she may be a "girl" but she knew the difference between an Excursion and a Suburban. Drama for the Staggs/Tapia family.
Please take a moment to let me know what you think about this plan. Love to all, Jackie/Mom/Grammy.
